Zonta International is a global service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of women. Nearly 30,000 members belong to more than 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 68 countries and geographic areas.
The Zonta Club of Key West was chartered on March 30, 1981 as part of Zonta International, District 11. The Zonta Foundation of Key West, a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization #65-1007404, was chartered on April 26, 2000.

Zonta International is a leading global organization of individuals working together to build a better world for women and girls.
VISION OF ZONTA
Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

Friendship
The more we engage and work closely together to achieve our mission, the more we develop a special bond. The mission unites us and leads to friendship. We build friendships by treating each other with respect, being honest, and trying to understand one another. We work jointly and learn to appreciate each other. We care for and support each other. We work hard but also find time to have fun. And we value friendships that grow stronger and deeper through time.

Everyone deserves to be treated equally and have the same opportunities to participate in our work. All members are seen, heard, valued and uplifted by their Zonta membership. Equality and inclusion allow for healthy debate and create a harmonious organization.
