Zonta offers many valuable services for our community.

  • Young Woman in Public Affairs Award – Encourages more young women to participate in public and political life.

  • Merilee McCoy Leadership Scholarship – Encourages young women in our Community to follow in Merili McCoy’s footsteps and become leaders in our Community.

  • Z Club Scholarship, Math and Science Award – Encourages women to study subjects that will advance economic development and scientific discovery.

  • Bay Shore Manor Projects, Wesley House

  • HPV Initiative – The objective of the Zonta HPV Initiative is to provide the uninsured women (ages 18 to 26) of Key West with the HPV vaccine which protects against the Human Papillomavirus and Cervical Cancer. This vaccine is administrated in a three shot series over a six month period.

    The vaccine, Gardasil, protects against four types of HPV types which account for 70% of cervical cancers.

    Zonta Key West HPV Initiative
    Eligible women should contact WomenKind or The Health Department to enroll in the Zonta HPV voucher program. The women will then pay a cost $120.00 to $150.00 for the initial shot. They will then receive the 2nd and 3rd shot from the voucher program.

    After completing the entire 3 shot series, they will be reimbursed for the first shot.


  • Heart Health Initiative – The Zonta Club of Key West announced its Heart Health initiative in partnership with The Red Dress Campaign.

    Heart disease doesn’t care what you wear it’s the #1 killer of women.

    Zonta provides Free heart screening in February and March to all women in our Community to include: an exam, blood pressure check, LDL and HDL cholesterol tests, blood count, triglycerides, and a metabolic profile. See our brochure.

  • Mammogram Program – The Zonta Club of Key West provides FREE mammograms to under insured and uninsured women in our Community.

    The Annual ZONTA ABC 5K Walk/Run (Awareness Breast Cancer) funds this program.
